Cancellation Policy

At Pleasure Cruise Pet Sitting, the safety of your pets, our team, and all involved is our highest priority. Due to the unpredictable nature of weather conditions, we have established the following cancellation policy related to inclement weather to ensure clear communication and minimize disruption.

1. Severe Weather Conditions

In the event of extreme weather conditions (such as hurricanes, tornadoes, blizzards, floods, or other natural disasters), either party may cancel or reschedule pet sitting services without penalty. We encourage both parties to communicate as early as possible if hazardous weather is anticipated.

• Notification: Please notify us at least 24 hours in advance if a major weather event is forecasted and you would like to cancel or reschedule.

• Automatic Cancellations: If local authorities issue a travel ban, evacuation order, or similar severe weather warning, pet sitting services will automatically be suspended for the duration of the emergency, unless otherwise discussed.

• Extended Stays (Booked 3 Months in Advance):

For extended stays (booked 3 months in advance or more) lasting 7 days or longer, cancellations due to severe weather will incur a charge of 50% of the total cost of services booked if cancelled within 15 days of the start date. This is solely due to the high demand and reserved time blocked off for your pet’s care.

2. Moderate Weather Conditions

For less extreme but still impactful weather conditions (e.g., heavy rain, thunderstorms, or snow), we will make every effort to maintain scheduled visits. However, safety concerns may require adjustments.

• Notification: We will notify you if we anticipate any delays or difficulties due to weather, and we may suggest an adjusted time window for services.

• Client Reschedules: If you choose to cancel or reschedule due to moderate weather, please notify us at least 12 hours in advance to avoid a cancellation fee.

• Cancellation Fees: Cancellations made within 12 hours of the scheduled visit may incur a fee of 25% of the total service cost, except in cases of severe weather.

3. Winter Weather Precautions

During winter months, please ensure that your home is safely accessible (e.g., driveways cleared of snow or ice). If our pet sitter cannot safely access your home due to untreated conditions, the visit may be cancelled, and a cancellation fee of 25% may apply.

4. Client Absence Due to Weather-Related Travel Issues

If your travel plans are disrupted by weather (such as flight cancellations or road closures) and you need to extend the duration of pet sitting services, we will accommodate this where possible. Please inform us as soon as you are aware of any changes, and additional fees may apply for extended care.

5. Emergency Contingencies

In the event of sudden or severe weather changes while we are caring for your pet, we will take immediate action to ensure your pet’s safety. This may include altering the schedule, staying with the pet longer, or contacting emergency services if necessary. Any changes will be communicated to you as soon as possible.
